Welcome & Announcements

Welcome to my webpage. It contains basic information about me and the classes I teach.  For further clarification about anything specific please feel free to contact me through this webpage, email or the remind system.  I am here to facilitate anything my students may need.

Along with DCS and LCHS, I am here to offer resources, support, and direction for parents and students to ensure some continuity in their learning, even while students remain at home. Please let me know if there is anything additional I can do to assist students or families during this time.

Students' school email addresses should be their first and last initial and lunch numbers @dcsms.org.

Also, please join remind101 if you have not already done so.

Bio

I have been teaching English for 19 years. I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and have lived in Desoto County for 23 years. My children are all graduates of Lake Cormorant Schools. Some things I have a passion for are getting to know my students, reading, singing in the church choir, and spending time with family. I am proud to be an LCHS Gator and am looking forward to a great school year!

Summer Reading List

All Gifted English students have required summer reading. The book choices and accompanying assignments are distributed to these students by their teacher prior to departure for summer vacation. Students are expected to have the work prepared for submission during the first week of the school year, regardless of the semester they are enrolled in English. This assignment is graded as a major test grade. Any questions that may arise during the summer can be emailed to me through my teacher website. Happy Summer Reading!
