Bio

I have taught in several areas and with different ages in the DCS school system since 2006. I began my teaching career as an assistant teacher while getting my teacher certification at the University of Mississippi in K-12 Mild to Moderate and Severe Profound Degree with certifications in English 7-12 and History 7-12. In December 2020 I graduated with my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.

This is my 15^th year to teach, and I love what I do. I like encouraging students to grow academically and personally. I am currently the cheer sponsor and have been for the past 2 years.

I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I have been married for 32 years. We have 3 children, 2 daughters and 1 son. One daughter is an office manager and the other is a nurse. Our son is currently at Ole Miss pursuing a business administration degree and works with the Ole Miss Media team filming a variety of sports. We have 6 grandchildren, 3 girls and 3 boys. They range from 10 years old to 5 months old. We enjoy spending our free time traveling with our family.
