Welcome to Senior English!
This is not a traditional English IV literature class.
This is an English literacy class based on literature, history, and science texts.
This class uses a digital platform similar to those found at the college and career level.
You will learn how to read, understand, discuss, develop and defend ideas from books and other sources.
You will write about them in adult-level formats in order to be college or career ready.

I graduated from Leesville High School in LA, while my father was stationed at Ft. Polk, LA. I attended Northwestern State in Natchitoches, LA, for two years. I transferred home to the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, where I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in English Education. I have been a proud Gator for many, many years!
I taught all grades in the English department, as well as Speech and Drama in FL. When I moved to Ft. Hood, TX, I taught 8th grade for three years. After that, I moved back to high school, teaching 9th, 11th and 12th during the school year, and 10th for the summer sessions. I also taught Speech and various social science electives in TX.
I am a proud Army brat who has lived in several states and in Asia, along the way I acquired my teaching degree. I currently live in Southaven. I am the mother of seven children, 4 girls and 3 boys. I am Mimi to five granddaughters, six grandsons, and one due in December. Because my youngest child was born with a brain defect, I volunteer at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in the Neuroscience Unit, helping other families with hospitalizations.
