Education
I graduated from Leesville High School in LA, while my father was stationed at Ft. Polk, LA. I attended Northwestern State in Natchitoches, LA, for two years. I transferred home to the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, where I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in English Education. I have been a proud Gator for many, many years!
Experience
I taught all grades in the English department, as well as Speech and Drama in FL. When I moved to Ft. Hood, TX, I taught 8th grade for three years. After that, I moved back to high school, teaching 9th, 11th and 12th during the school year, and 10th for the summer sessions. I also taught Speech and various social science electives in TX.
Bio
I am a proud Army brat who has lived in several states and in Asia, along the way I acquired my teaching degree. I currently live in Southaven. I am the mother of seven children, 4 girls and 3 boys. I am Mimi to seven granddaughters and six grandsons. Because my youngest child was born with a brain defect, I volunteer at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in the Neuroscience Unit, helping other families with hospitalizations.
