About the Teacher
Education, Experience, Bio: Hello, this a little about me encompassing my educational background, as well as some of my experiences that I have had and also my bio. So, I was apart of the first graduating class in Lake Cormorant history in 2011. After graduating high school, I spent the next eight years in the Marine Corps Reserve as an Infantry Rifleman and then as a Combat Engineer. During my time in the reserve I spent two years at Northwest Community College and then transitioned to Ole Miss where I attained my bachelor’s degree, minoring in History, English and Education. After receiving my degree, I then went through an alternate route program called Teach Mississippi Institute where I received my teaching license.
Some other crazy facts about me is I am happily married with a baby on the way. I am an avid Lord of the Rings fan, I do have a nerdy side about me. I love to travel. My wife and I have been to New Zealand, the north and south islands, and we have also been to Ireland. I also like to try new things, like the video shows, bungee jumping, or the Nevis Swing, is a must if you are in New Zealand, but we are about to drop several hundred feet between two mountains. Then a couple days later we'll hike up and over an active volcano spanning nearly 20 kilometres.
This is my first year teaching, and i am exceedingly happy to be back home in the swamp. This is home and where I grew up and I am very much looking forward to building relationships, learn new things, and to teach history as fun and insightful as possible.
