Head Principal: Dr. Bobby Davis

I am a native of DeSoto County and grew up in Southaven. I am a 1992 graduate of Southaven High School and eventually pursued a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Memphis. I earned a second master's degree from Freed-Hardeman University and a specialist and doctoral degree from Union University. I returned to DeSoto County Schools as an educator nearly 20 years ago. I taught at Oak Grove Central Elementary in Hernando for four years, worked at Central Services in Hernando for eight years, and returned to the school setting as an assistant principal in 2016. I have been working at LCHS since 2019 and will begin my first year as the head principal in the 2023-2024 school year. I am very excited to have this opportunity and look forward to a great year!

Message from Dr. Davis

Welcome to Lake Cormorant High School. The faculty and I are pleased to be a part of your child's education. We look forward to assisting in their growth academically, emotionally, and socially. It takes a strong partnership between the school and home to ensure that your children get the necessary skills needed as they transition into life beyond secondary education.

The faculty of LCHS will work diligently to provide a safe and secure environment in order to foster optimal learning each day. Additionally, we have many extracurricular offerings at LCHS and encourage every student to get involved in the various clubs and athletic teams on campus.

Again, we look forward to a great year. Go Gators!
