About the Counselor
I am very excited to be a part of the Gator family, I am looking forward to all the wonderful things that are in store for the Gator Family this year!
I taught sixth grade Science (Life, Earth, and Physical) for three years in the MS Delta from 2001-2004. Those were some very exciting and rewarding years in my life. I also have a fourteen year history in Mental Health Therapy, 2004- 2018, but am excited to be able to experience the academic side of counseling. However, my mental health roots run deep and I am sure it will be utilized the same..:)
I am a proud 2004 graduate of Alcorn State University, with a Master's of Science Degree in Guidance Education. I love my Alcorn State family, the home of the BRAVES! # Back2BackSWACEastChamps #BraveStrong
I also received my Bachelor of Science Degree from Alcorn State University in 2001 in education.

About the Counselor
First off...My heart is forever Gator Green!
I am originally from Louisiana born and bred.
I am a graduate of Mississippi University for Women and The University of Mississippi. I have a Specialist Degree in Counselor Education and I am a National Board Certified Counselor and School Counselor. I recently achieved my dream of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor.
I am starting my 22nd year in Education. I worked for 5 years as a Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher for Tunica County Schools, before being blessed with the opportunity to become a school counselor here in Desoto County.
I have worked in Lake Cormorant since we first opened in 2006. #alwaysagator #ogoriginalgator
I enjoy my job and having the opportunity to collaborate with our great faculty and staff, but most of all I enjoy getting to work with my students and their families.
