About the Counselor

I am very excited to be a part of the Gator family,  I am looking forward to all the wonderful things that are in store for the Gator Family this year!

I taught sixth grade Science (Life, Earth, and Physical) for three years in the MS Delta from 2001-2004.  Those were some very exciting and rewarding years in my life. I also have a fourteen year history in Mental Health Therapy, 2004- 2018, but am excited to be able to experience the academic side of counseling.  However, my mental health roots run deep and I am sure it will be utilized the same..:)

I am a proud 2004 graduate of Alcorn State University, with a Master's of Science Degree in Guidance Education. I love my Alcorn State family, the home of the BRAVES! # Back2BackSWACEastChamps #BraveStrong

I also received my Bachelor of Science Degree from Alcorn State University in 2001 in education.

About the Counselor

I am a proud graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi, where I received my Bachelor of Science degree.  Prior to, I obtained my Associates of Nursing Degree from Holmes Community College. Once I obtained both degrees, I realized that my true passion was linked to the "helping profession" of which I desired to focus more in the educational sector of such field. At that time, I began teaching 7th grade Science and Biology in the MS Delta. While teaching, I proceeded to obtain my Master of Education in Counseling Education, which opened the door to such an amazing profession of which I hold today.

I strongly believe that an educated mind is one of the most valuable resources to have in life. With such a belief and personal goal of mine, I later sought to obtain my Ph.D. in Education from THEE Jackson State University. As a Professional School Counselor, I take great pride and pleasure in advocating for students in pursuit of a future that will open doors beyond their imagination. I am elated to join the Gator Family, as we continue to "CHUMP" our way through this awesome school year.

About the Counselor

I am very excited to be a new addition to Lake Cormorant High School! I am looking forward to this great opportunity and to be a part of the Gator family.

I received my Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Mississippi. I realized quickly that my true passion was to work with students, specifically helping them be successful now and encouraging them to think about life after high school. I completed my Master of Science in School Counseling from The University of Memphis. This is the first school that I have worked at as a school counselor, and it has been a great experience.

I am very passionate about education, and I am here to be an advocate and provide support for my students. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance. I think this is going to be an awesome school year! #GoGators
