About the Teacher

Education and Experience:

I hold bachelor's degrees in Journalism and English from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked in publishing as a magazine editor and communications director of a nonprofit.

This is my fourth year at Lake Cormorant High School. I teach 11th grade English and English elective courses. I have previously worked as a literacy coach at the middle school level, volunteered as an adult literacy coach, and taught creative writing and theater.

I also sponsor the LCHS Speech & Debate Team and the Chess Club.
